First of Happy New Year! Best Wishes for 2025 to you and your family. May this be your best year yet, and may all your dreams, goals and wishes become reality in 2025.

I am hoping to reap the benefits of the enormous amount of work and long hours I put into GuitarVoyage.com in 2024. I managed to populate GuitarVoyage with 2500 new lessons videos, and get the whole site done and ready.

I am super proud of what I accomplished with GuitarVoyage. I feel I built something truly exceptional. This is some of my finest work ever, and it is my dream to have millions of people worldwide enjoy the lessons and see amazing success in many areas of their lives as a result of the personal development through music.

Here’s a song that uses some of the composition techniques I teach in the songwriting category on GuitarVoyage.

Midnight in Brussels

I wrote Midnight in Brussels in January 2018. I’m particularly fond of this song because I really like its sound, harmony colors and drive. But for the longest time — YEARS — I was stuck with the first 8 bars of music, not knowing where to go from there. It tooks years for this song to develop and come to a conclusion. It was worth the wait: I REALLY like this song.

In the next couple of weeks I’m going to rerecord it at about 20bpm slower. I think the sexiness of the chords will come out better when given more space and time to shine.
