GuitarVoyage.com Will be the Masterclass.com for Guitar, Music and Songwriting Students
I have probably never worked harder than I did this year. Just this year, I recorded almost 2500 lesson videos, transcribed almost 2000 guitar riffs, designed hundreds of new drills and exercises, mixed audio to over a 1000 videos in Pro Tools, learned how to edit film, how to add graphics and do color correction in Final Cut Pro, which I had to learn from scratch.
My list of tasks and goals accomplished this year (I keep track of everything in an MS Word file) is already over 200 pages long. At this rate my completed to do list for 2024 is going to be a 350-page book by the year’s end. 🙂
Most of those tasks involve work on GuitarVoyage.
Developing GuitarVoyage.com has been an exhilirating journey so far that involved 15-hour workdays seven days a week. I’m spending so many hours every day sitting at my computer that I decided to buy a $1000 Steelcase Amia chair this week. My back is going to LOVE that chair. I can’t wait for it to be delivered. It’s going to be a major upgrade from my beat up and worn down $200 Staples office chair which is so worn out there is no back support whatsoever.
Every day I am making progress and getting closer to officially launching GuitarVoyage.com. While there is still a ton of work to be done before I can launch, right now the site already has over 1500 videos. Most of these are practice videos like bar chord reading drills, rhythm ear training drills, interval ear training drills, fretboard training videos or voice leading cycle lessons, just to name a few.
While friends have told me to just officially launch right away, I feel like I need to have at least 1 video in each of the 182 lesson modules before I can officially launch. At the rate I’m going, I hope to reach that goal and finally start making some money with the site within 6 weeks to maximum 2 months from now.
While not officially launched yet, GuitarVoyage.com is already online in case friends and students want to help me out (pre-launch) with the rising development costs by already signing up for a monthly or annual membership. If you want to support me, you can do so here: Sign up for membership & start the guitar learning fun
In return, you get a month or year (depending on which plan you go for) membership with full free access to all the lessons, downloadable lesson materials, and so on. In addition to the 1500+ videos already on the site, another 1000 videos will be added in the next 2 months.
To give you an idea of some of the things you can currently already learn or train on GuitarVoyage, here are some of the lesson videos that are accessible to the general public.
What Does Diatonic Mean?
Music Notation and Music Reading Drills
The Major Scale
Fretboard Training
Bar Chord Training Drills
Scales and Improvisation
Ear Training
There’s way more content on the site but this should give you an idea of what I am going for with GuitarVoyage. Every day new videos will be added to the site, and I am on schedule to have 2500 lesson videos posted by mid September.
GuitarVoyage is absolutely going to be THE best guitar and music learning site. The site is laid out as my curriculum, which has been developed over decades of teaching about 50,000 1-on-1 guitar lesson hours. It’s a curriculum that has managed to bring students with big musical goals or ambitions, from complete beginner to professional full-time musician in 3 years or less.
Hope you like what GuitarVoyage is offering so far and the direction in which it is heading.
Feel free to share your thoughts.
Thank you,
Vreny
